Nick formed the Law Offices of Nicholas A. Furia, PLLC in March 2009 after spending several years as a property tax lawyer at Fredrikson & Byron, P.A., one of the largest law firms in Minnesota.
Nick's balance of aggressiveness and sound negotiation skills has earned him a reputation among assessors and opposing counsel as a property tax lawyer who is ready and willing to litigate issues in court, but also willing to advise settlement when it is in the best interest of his client.
As a result of Nick's well-rounded approach to property tax cases, he has negotiated substantial reductions in the assessed values of dozens of types of property over the years, resulting in tax refunds to his clients in excess of several million dollars.
In 2010 and 2011, Nick was selected as a Rising Star by Mpls St. Paul magazine, Twin Cities Business magazine and SuperLawyers.com, recognizing Nick as one of the top Minnesota attorneys under the age of 40.
Nick's practice is devoted exclusively to Minnesota property tax appeals and Nick has worked on several hundred property tax appeals over the years. Click here to see various types of properties included in his practice.

Nick frequently lectures on the topics of property taxes and real property valuation to audiences of appraisers, attorneys, real estate brokers, property managers, and corporate tax professionals.
